Mary A. Nugent, 97 Troy Mary A. Nugent, 97, of Westover Road, died Wednesday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a long illness. Born in Watervliet, she was daughter of the late William C. and Loretta McCarthy Nugent. She had resided in Troy most of her life and was educated at the College of New Rochelle; received her Masters degree from the State University of New York at Albany and did her graduate work at Columbia University. Miss Nugent taught in the Troy public school district in schools 13 and 12 and in Watervliet High School and was an instructor at Russell Sage College. She retired from the Troy City School District as Director of Elementary Education and Psychological Services. She was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church in Troy. Survivors include two nephews William Nugent II of Boston and Daniel W. Nugent Jr. of Clifton Park and a Grand niece Kristen Nugent of Clifton Park. She was predeceased by three sisters Ruth G. Nugent, Anne F. Vaughan and Catherine W. Heiss and a brother Daniel W. Nugent.
