Mary MacKay-Rollins, 67, passed away at her home in Roanoke, IN surrounded by loved ones on August 29, 2022, from Pancreatic Cancer.

Mary was born in Lafayette, IN on January 23, 1955, to John and Virginia (Roe) Cusick. She was a 1973 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. Mary worked in the insurance business for over 30 years, became a licensed insurance agent, and retired in March 2020.

Mary loved Luke Bryan and was a VIP member of his fan club, attending many of his concerts. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 160 Women’s Auxiliary, and Sonrise United Methodist Church.

Mary enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, baking, and trying new recipes. She especially enjoyed camping at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes every summer with her “Jeep family” that shared the fun and companionship of campfires, Jeep rides on the dunes, and fun on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Mary married Geary Rollins June 21, 1992, in Roanoke, IN. Their union brought together their separate families and made them one. Mary always said it was one of her proudest accomplishments.

Mary is survived by her husband Geary, along with six children. Sons Jeremy Rollins, Noblesville, IN, and Weston (Courtnee) MacKay, Indianapolis, IN. Daughters Andrea (Mark) Van Dyken, Fort Wayne, IN, Jessica (Michael) Waitek, Fishers, IN, Kristin (Andy) Brewer, Huntington, IN, Sarah (Nathan Jeffery) MacKay, Indianapolis, IN; and her beloved dog Hank.

She is also survived by her mother, Virginia Cusick and four sisters, Patricia (Harold) Crumley; her twin Alice (Marc) Hallett, Evelyn (Gary) Stevenson, all of Lafayette, IN, and Donna Cusick, Fort Wayne, IN, along with many nieces and nephews.

Mary was blessed with 12 grandchildren and is survived by all of them. Evan, Treyton, and Ali Van Dyken, Aspen, Phoenix, and London Rollins, Carter Brewer, Keenan, Jenna, and Jase Waitek, Callen and Emery MacKay. Her grandchildren kept her busy and were her pride and joy.
