Marvin was born October 28, 1925 to Henry and Mary (Miles) Volzke in York, Nebraska. He graduated from Utica High School in 1943. On August 14, 1949, Marvin was united in marriage to Loretta Heineke at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Gresham, Nebraska. He raised Angus cattle and farmed near Waco, Nebraska . Marvin passed away on August 10, 2013 in York, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 13 days. Marvin is survived by his wife, Loretta Volzke, Waco, Nebraska; sons, Rev. Greg (Peg) Volzke, Juniata, Nebraska, Hollis (Jayne) Volzke, Waco, Nebraska; daughters: Gayle (Dave) Van Patten, Hastings, Nebraska, Marcia (Ron) Nissen, Garland, Nebraska, Angela (André) Sims, Malcolm, Nebraska; grandchildren, Kiley (Nick) Drog, Mitchell (Missy) Nissen, Will (Jennifer) Volzke, Mathew Volzke (special friend, Heather), Virginia (Doug) Bray, Joelle (Andy) Knott, Evan (Krista) Volzke, Ethan Volzke, Lauren Volzke, Adrianna Sims, Antonio Sims; great grandchildren, Claire Drog, Grant Drog, Hali Knott and Kenzi Knott; brother, Roy Volzke, Lakewood, Colorado, sister, Anita and Dr. Robert Roetker, Lafayette, IN. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary (Miles) Volzke; grandson, Justin Volzke, sister-in-law, Anne Volzke.
