Marvin W. Parkinson, age 83, was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Thursday September 1, 2022 in Milwaukee. He was born to Marvin and Estella (Rivers) Parkinson who were residents of Wisconsin Rapids. He did have a brother named Dale.
Marvin enjoyed playing golf, watching Wisconsin Badgers Football, his cat Googles, and traveling. He also loved chili and baking. He worked as a master baker for many years. Marvin loved to play cribbage and sheepshead with his family and friends. Another big thing that Marvin loved was to go fishing in Montello. Marvin loved listening to Johnny Cash, and any older country western music. His favorite actor was John Wayne and anything that was western including the paperback novels.
Marvin is survived by his children: Angel, Julie, Linda, Diane and James; 29 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his friend Rollin who lives in Texas and was fellow baker and good friend.
