Marvin Rackley, age 87, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2008. A native of Paulding County, he was born December 30, 1920, and was preceded in death by his parents, Warren S. & Nannie F. Rackley, and wife, Georgia G. Rackley. Mr. Rackley was a WWII Veteran of the U. S. Army and was retired from Georgia Power as a mechanic.
Survivors include his sons & daughters-in-law, Reverend Lamar & Dianne Rackley of Dallas, and Terry & Connie Rackley of Dallas; daughter & son-in-law, Ann & Tony Harris of Dallas; brothers & sister-in-law, Hollis Rackley of Dallas, and Homer & Myra Rackley of Dallas; sisters & brother-in-law, Clay Lee Rakestraw of Hiram, and Sarah & Melvin Dokey of Hiram; grandchildren, Mindy Sprayberry, Stacey McDaris, Tim Rackley, Jamie Lightner, and Brian Rackley; step-grandchildren, Justin Daniel and Jodie Alcarez; fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
