Marvin Lee Trost Jr., 61, of Elkhart, passed away Monday morning, July 19, 2021, at Elkhart General Hospital after a short illness. Marvin was born on July 30, 1959, in South Bend, the son of Marvin Lee and Virginia Ellen (Crise) Trost Sr. Surviving are his parents, his children, two sons Robert W. Trost and his girlfriend Angie Alvarez, Kenneth D. (Michelle) Trost; daughter Christian S. Trost; step-son Bobby R. Gilliland; also surviving are four grandchildren Aubrey, Levin, Gabriel and Hunter Trost; brother Louis W. Patricia) Trost; and sisters Ruth A. (Jeff) Truex, Terry A. Trost and daughter in law, Sherry Trost and a sister in law, Tammy Meredith.

Marvin was preceded in death by his son Army Staff Sgt. Marvin Lee Trost III and a brother Michael M. Meredith.

Marvin graduated from Fairfield High School in 1977. He then attended Tyler Junior College.  Marvin heard the call of duty and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1986, where he served as a Cannonier, until his honorable discharge in 1990. After his discharge, he graduated from Lincoln College of Technology.  Marvin worked as a CNC operator for Kampco Steel Products for 10 years.

A man of great faith and a follower of Jesus, he was a member of Whosoever Will Worship Center in Elkhart. Marvin never met a stranger and had the gift of gab. He liked to socialize with family and friends, especially around a campfire, talking, laughing and telling stories. He also liked to golf and enjoyed watching western movies.
