Marvin L. Krieg, 63, Lafayette, passed away December 23, 2008 at Clarian Arnett-Lafayette, Indiana after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born May 30, 1945 in Arcadia, Indiana, and lived most of his life in Anderson, Monticello and Lafayette for several years.

He graduated from Anderson High School and served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict in the Kreps Reconnaissance. He retired from TRW in Lafayette as a tool & dye maker.

Marvin also worked at Perfecto Tool and was a journeyman tool & dye maker. His family was very important to him and he loved to tease. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling and loved visiting Hawaii.

He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Smith of Elwood and Mary Ann Krieg of Delphi; brother, Marshall D’evi Krieg of Honolulu, Hawaii; mother, Ula Edge Kreig; sister, Tammy Mark Abernathy of Anderson; two nieces, Whitney Abernathy and Kristin Krieg; two nephews, Jeremy Krieg and Steve Abernathy; grandchildren, Daniel Krieg Ball, Deric Michael Ball, Drake Andrew Ball and Parker Keith Smith; very special friend, Paul Korpita and his dog, Sasha. He was preceded in death by his father, Carroll Krieg.
