Marvin Keith Miller was born on March, 17, 1943 in John day, Oregon and passed away suddenly on August 30, 2015 at Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise at the age of 72 years, from complications of leukemia.  Marvin, “will be forever remembered” as a loving husband to Patricia Gandy of Eagle and father to Michael K. Miller of Boise, Idaho, and Mitchell S. Miller of Menifee, CA.

He also leaves behind his first wife Patsy Miller, brothers Jack and Roy Miller all residing in Boise, Idaho his grandson Travis Miller of Pacific Beach, CA, stepsons, Michael Gandy and Gary Gandy, and multiple step grandchildren.  Marvin retired as a Sargent for the Idaho State Police after 32 distinguished years as a state trooper, a position he cherished above all others he held throughout his accomplished career.  Upon his retirement from the ISP, Marvin was employed as a Federal Marshal for 10 years, before retiring again.  Additionally, Marvin was known for building and establishing a Texaco gas station at Banks, ID, as well as holding a position of deputy sheriff for Idaho City, and Boise County in his early years.

Marvin was a consummate outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring the many trails in Idaho, Utah, and Arizona on his all-terrain vehicles.
