Marvin K. Spender of Crete, formerly of South Holland, IL, went to be home with his Lord and Savior Thursday, January 23, 2014. Mr. Spender is survived by his wife Christine Spender (nee Kooi) and preceded in death by his first wife Carolyn Spender (nee Davis.)
He is the father of Larry (Marilee) Spender, Linda (Jerry) Tessarolo, and Donald (Cindi) Spender. Grandfather of 7; great-grandfather of 6. Brother of Wesley Spender and the late Calvin (Nancy) Spender. Mr. Spender was the former owner of the Suburban Garden Center in South Holland and was a Korean War Air Force Veteran.
