Marv Battled Lung disease for three years, he passed at his home.
Marv was born on September 23, 1942, in Plainview, Nebraska, the son of Vern and Marjorie (Overholt) Ehlers. He was raised in Crofton and graduated from Crofton High School. He completed vocational school in Omaha. He worked in Norfolk for 46 years in refrigeration.
Marv married Karen (Bogner) on July 1, 1965. They had two children, Mark (Renee) of Mankato, Minnesota; Brent (Jennifer) of Norfolk; 7 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; he is also survived by a brother Wayne (Barb) Ehlers, sister Carol (Steve) Dickes; 2 brother-in-laws, sister-in-law Deb (Hubert) Hoesing, and nieces and nephews.
Marv enjoyed fishing, hunting, and relaxing vacations to the ocean, with his wife, Karen.
The greatest pride and joy of his life were his grandchildren.
Marv was preceded in death by his parents.
