Marvis D. “M.D.” “Buster” Lindsey, 84, of River Avenue, Emlenton, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, December 27, 2008 at shortly after his arrival in the emergency room at UPMC Northwest, Seneca.
Mr. Lindsey was born on June 5, 1924 in Virginia. He was the son of the late Mephe and Connie Tolbert Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey was a veteran of World War II. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force.
Mr. Lindsey was married in Emlenton in 1986 to the former Emma Jean Kriebel Rankin. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Daphene Morgan of West Virginia and Patti Webb of Pittsburgh. Two sisters survive, Ruby Lee Sparks of Arizona and Dorothy Strattis of Tennessee. A step son survives, John Rankin, of Emlenton, and a step daughter, Karen Alworth of Parker. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Lori Lindsey and Terri Ruane, and three brothers, Jack, Roy, and Earl Lindsey.
