Marvin “Clem” Wilson, 74, of Clarksburg, WV departed this life Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born December 29, 1941in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Stanley A. and Mary Gerrard Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Stanley Jr, Richard, Mack, Ronnie, Billy and Mickey Jr.; two sisters, Geneva Collier and Evelyn Gallo; grandson, Ryan Clark Wilson.
Clem married Kathie Gould Wilson on July 16, 1966. They are the parents of three children, Betty Jane Wilson of Shinnston, Daniel and Jennifer Wilson of Clarksburg, Jerred Wilson, Sr. of Clarksburg; nine grandchildren, Jack and Julia Stout, Kris and Mariah Wilson of Clarksburg, Elizabeth Wilson, Jerred Jr. from Illinois, Kaden, Kyran and Kami from Mt. Clare; three brothers, Hurley of Erin, TN, Eddie of Canton, OH, his twin, Melvin of Garrettsville; two sisters, Joan Fogg of PA, Sharon Emerson of Lost Creek; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wilson was a 1962 graduate of Victory High School; where he was an avid football player. He served with the US Army and was retired from Group W. Cable Company. He is an ordained minister with The United Christian Church and Ministers Association. He Attended New Hope Christian Church and had a great love for the Gospel Barn Assembly and its people. His love for the Lord and for people was evident throughout his life.
