CAMPBELL, Marvin Comstock Went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, 11/18/ 2009. Marvin was born 10/7/1928 in Campton, KY, a son of John Lee, Sr. and Iva Mae Osborne Campbell and resided in Comstock for many years. He retired from James River Company after 37 years. Marvin was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, and loved to witness to everyone he met.
He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and traveling. On 10/8/1949 he married Sylvia Brewer, who survives. Marvin is also survived by their sons, Donald G., Marvin D., and Melvin L. Pat Campbell; their daughter, Barbara Ann Michael Miller; two grandsons, John Lee, III, and Matthew Melvin Campbell; a great granddaughter, Nicole Gates; two sisters, Haley Moore of Portage and Jewel Tolson of OH; three brothers, Emerson Ann of FL, Andy C. Delores, Earl Ruth; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dennis Alan; a sister, Cora Mae; 6 brothers, John Lee, Jr., Neville, Porter, Raymond, Harden and Woody.
