It was in the early morning hours, on May 17, 2016, that Marvel Kathleen Edmiston passed away at Ogden Regional Hospital. She was surrounded by family and friends, and our wonderful pastor Rob George. Marvel was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on January 16, 1929 to James and Alta Rano. There she met and married Donald R. Edmiston which brought her to Utah. Together they raised three children. They later divorced. She was a fighter for sure. She never gave up through all of the ups and downs. She was able to live on her own until her passing, which was one of her utmost desires. Our mother, grandmother, and friend, will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Wood, son Tracy Edmiston, both of Kaysville, her granddaughter Stacey Bateman, (with whom she talked with every single day), 4 other grandchildren, Troy and Shaun Larsen, Paige Espinoza, and Chance Bihr, 7 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. They will all miss her dearly. She also had many friends and neighbors that have been there for her. We especially want to thank Janice for her tremendous help and friendship towards our mom. Marvel was preceded in death by her parents, 3 siblings, daughter Regina Squires, and Donald R. Edmiston. Mom, you are now healthy, free of any pain, and with all of your family in heaven. We will miss you.
