Martin Joseph Koziel, age 54, of Galien, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, in St Joseph, Michigan, in the presence of his family.Marty was born November 21, 1961 in Buchanan, Michigan, the son of John and Thelma (Traxler) Koziel. Marty was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed deer hunting as well as mushroom hunting, snowmobiling and fishing; pretty much anything that involved being outside. He loved watching NASCAR on Sunday’s and all Notre Dame Sports, but spending time with his family was the most important thing to him! Marty lived on the family farm with his beloved Saint Bernard “Jake”; it was truly his happy place.
He was very generous to everyone and would give to all in any way he could. He will always be remembered as being a kind soul and he will be sorely missed. Martin is survived by his parents John and Thelma Koziel; his siblings: Michael (Sally) Koziel, Mark Koziel, Matthew Koziel, Niki (Bob) Eddy and Toni (Rick) Canada; his nieces and nephews: Sara Koziel, Stacey (Ryan) Blaske, Aaron Koziel, Ryan Koziel, Erica Eddy, Adrian Eddy, Macy Koziel and Daniel Koziel; and a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
