HAVERHILL – Martin J. Lalumiere, 71, of Haverhill, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Holy Family Hospital, Haverhill, surrounded by his loved ones.

Marty was born in Haverhill on January 29, 1948. Loving son of the late Robert and Rita (Fitzgerald) Lalumiere. He attended Haverhill schools and was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish for many years.

He worked for General Electric for 33 years until his retirement. Marty was an active member of the Crescent Yacht Club. His activities involved the Boys Scouts of America, Skiing and Ski Patrol, traveling with his family through Europe and travels around the world including Italy, Hawaii and Alaska and enjoyed cooking fine cuisine with his special palate. He was an avid boater and fisherman who shared that passion with others through excursions on his boat the “Landlord.”

Marty was married to Constance (Ryan) Lalumiere, the love of his life for 49 years, until her passing in 2013. He is now reunited with her and will be sadly missed by all.

He’ll be remembered for his big hearted ways and generosity to all that knew him. He was known as the one person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Along with his wife Connie, they loved nothing more than opening their home to family and friends for the holidays, pool parties, lobster bakes and celebrations.

Marty is survived by his loving children Rebecca Jolley and husband Michael of Wells, ME, Anne-Marie Lalumiere and husband John Mulligan of Haverhill, Michelle Lalumiere of Orange Park, FL and Martin R. Lalumiere of Methuen; grandchildren Jessica and Ryan Jolley, John and Prescott Mulligan and Donovan and Giuliana Lalumiere; siblings Daniel Lalumiere and wife Doreen of Boca Raton, FL, Joseph Lalumiere of Haverhill, Kathleen DiBurro and husband Gregory of Newton, NH, Susan Lalumiere of Merrimac and Lisa Marand and husband Jack of Salem, NH; sister in-law Vicki Porto of Carlisle, PA; several nieces and nephews; brother of the late Michael Lalumiere and Janet Lalumiere.
