Passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Borgess Hospital. Age 83. Martin was born in Oak Park, IL on June 12, 1932, the son of the late Martin Francis Werlund Johnson and Mary (Vandivort) Johnson. He served his country in the United States Army.
He was employed by several heating and cooling manufacturers throughout his career. Among his hobbies and interests, he especially enjoyed flying and sailing. Martin was married to Karen Louise (Jones) Johnson; she preceded him in death in 1992. He is survived by his children, M.C.V. “Vandy” (DeAnne) Johnson, Jr., Julia (James) Garnett and Robert G.J. Johnson; grandchildren, Cara Garnett, Josiah “Joe” (Julieta) Johnson, Jena Garnett, Raymond (Brittnee) Johnson, M.C.V. “Skip” Johnson, III and Summer Johnson.
