Mrs. Martha Whitehead, 72, of Opelika, Al., passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Mrs. Whitehead is survived by her two sons, William Ricky Whitehead and Randall Don Whitehead, both of Valley, Al.; a brother, Robert J. Moore of Valley; three grandchildren, Justin and Lindsey Whitehead and Ethen Whitehead. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Don Whitehead and her grandson, William Joshua Whitehead.
Mrs. Whitehead was born on July 27, 2014 in Chambers County, Al. to the late James Claude Moore and Ludie Mae Folds Moore. She was a member of Plant City Baptist Church. She had lived in the Valley area all of her life and was formerly employed at the Langdale and Shawmut Mills. She was currently a resident of Arbor Springs Nursing Home in Opelika.
