Martha Urilla Cox, born February 1, 1921, passed away March 14, 2021. Born in Richland, Kansas, her mother, Minta Moore traveled with her baby daughter by train to Raton, New Mexico. There, they were met by Minta’s husband, Orville Moore and Minta’s sister, Mattie. They traveled to Johnson Mesa, where the family had their home. Urilla lived in several towns and cities in Colorado, but the place she enjoyed most was the Stirrup Ranch, in Northern Fremont County.
She is survived by John Cox, her husband of 26 years and daughter, Darla Evetts. Urilla had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She will join with family in heaven: parents, Orville and Minta Moore; brothers, O’Connell and Alvin Moore; sister, Marian Lees; son, Jimmy Evetts; grandson, Ira Allen Evetts; granddaughter, Bree and great-grandson, Wesley.
