Martha J. Thoren, 86, beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt, slipped away peacefully to join her eternal companion and husband, Carl on June 10, 2010. Martha was born on October 26, 1923, in Lockport, IL. She married Carl Thoren on November 16, 1946 and moved to Arizona in 1955. Martha was an active member of The Rosary Prayer Group and had fond memories of her many years singing with the choir at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Scottsdale, AZ and for the Pope in Rome. Martha is survived by her sisters, Julia Solley and Eleanor Rego; brother Anthony Stytz; daughter Janet Miller; nieces Lois Lothspeich, Janice Brill, Patsy Negal, Evelyn Butler, Betty McCall, Barbara Woodward, Rosemarie Stevens and Suzette Brown; nephews Ray Apple, David Stytz, Dennis Stytz, Robert Moraski, Michael Solley, James Rego, Kenneth Rego, Marty Stytz, Jeff Stytz and Stanley Zeplack; grandchildren Troy and Tate Miller. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Thomas Stytz; brothers Frank, John and Louis; sisters Helen, Theresa, Caroline and Anna; loving daughter Joan; nephews John Sedar and Jerome Stytz.
