Martha Sue Hendricks passed on to her eternal home on May 20, 2020.
Martha was born in Monroe County, Indiana on December 7, 1928 to parents Weir and L. Leona (Anderson) Burch. She graduated from Solsberry High School in 1945. She married Rex Hendricks on July 2, 1949 and they were married for 58 years prior to Rex’s passing.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Rex), her brother (Don Burch), and her sister (Cherry Myers).
She is survived by her children: Rita (Joel) Perkins of Hope, IN; Rhea (Rick) Dikeman of Cincinnati, OH; and Roger (Jayne) Hendricks of Springboro, OH; grandchildren: Anna (Kevin) Ruhs of Brownsburg, IN; Jordan Perkins of Denver, CO; Willie (Chelsey) Dikeman of Mount Orab; OH; Emily (Brian) Stone of Washington, DC; Nathaniel Dikeman of Columbus, OH; and Tom (Christina) Hendricks of Maineville, OH; and great grandchildren: Jacqueline and Cooper Ruhs, Moses and Silas Dikeman, Aryn and Andi Hendricks, and two more great grandchildren on the way. She is also survived by her brother Sam (Judy) Burch of Carl Junction, MO; brother, Dan (Phyllis) Burch of Washington, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
Martha was an active member of the Liberty Church of Christ in Hendricksville, IN. She worked at RCA after graduating from High School. She left RCA to be a mother and homemaker. She also led a Ladies Bible Study in her home for many years, which now continues to meet at a different location.
Martha Sue’s warm, loving, generous, kind spirit and Christian example will be sorely missed by family and friends. Yet, her faith legacy will impact family, friends, and church family for generations.
