Martha (Robinette) Erp was born September 6, 1940 to Melvin and Mable Robinette in Greenwood, Indiana and passed December 12, 2021. Martha was a lifelong resident of Greenwood and beloved by many. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Greenwood. And anyone who knew her, knew her dedication to God and the Gospel.

Martha had many jobs in her life, but her greatest achievement was working for 21 years at Trinity Broadcast Network. Here she could do the Lord’s work and minister to others on a regular basis. She served many roles including Office Manager, Station Manager, and serving others, in need, at His Hand Extended.

But her favorite “job” started once she retired. She spent her retirement years caring for her great-granddaughters, whom she loved endlessly. They spent many days playing at the park, reading at the library, and spending time at their “special” spot – the gazebo in the parking lot at Madison and Wiley Street. She also helped care for her lifelong friend, Helen.

Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eugene Erp, son Brian Erp, brothers Melvin (Bud) and Ronald, and sisters Phyllis, Betty, and Bobby.

She is survived by her son Scott (Tara) Erp, granddaughter Shelby Erp, great-granddaughters Ayvaiah Daniels and Gracelynn Beckett, step-granddaughters Casey Gentry and Willow McKenzie, and a sister she loved so dearly Lela Shultz. Plus many nieces and nephews.

Martha was a very spiritual woman and it was her hope that everyone would accept Jesus Christ into their heart. So please, in Martha’s honor, go out and fulfill God’s greatest commandment – Love one another. If you do that, everything else falls into place.
