Martha McCamish, 80, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Wednesday night, October 21, 2009 at Buchanan Meadows.
Martha was born April 1, 1929 in Plains Kansas to Charles and Essa (Wallace) Short. She attended college and married Richard McCamish on April 29, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas. Richard preceded her in death in 1969. Martha was employed at ATT in Denver, Colorado for 20 years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed preserving her vegetables and pressing her flowers. Martha enjoyed the outdoor life that Colorado had to offer, such as camping, hiking, climbing, and fishing.
Survivors include her children, Bill (Billie) McCamish of Three Oaks and Susan Ann McCamish, of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kama, Damon, Ian, Reid and Erin; great grandchildren, Hannah, Kaitlin and Gabriel; sisters, Bertha Smith, Elsie Limberger, Joan Ybarra, Delores Klausner, Doris Jones and Marjorie Getz; and her brothers, Donald and Howard Short. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Jacobs and brothers Eugene, Leslie, and Ralph Short.
