Martha “Marcy” Ellen Alexander McCord Grannis, 80, passed away Tuesday evening September 4, 2012 at Fleming County Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born July 4, 1932 in Bourbon County to The late Omar B. and Emma Lee Boone Alexander. She was retired from the US Shoe Corporation in Flemingsburg. Marcy was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church in Cowan, and attended Elizaville Christian Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands Clyde McCord and Bobby Grannis, her parents, a brother Omar B. Alexander Jr. and a sister Betty Boone Fryman.
Survivors include: Sons: Billy (Jackie) McCord of Ewing, KY, Gayle McCord of Cowan, KY, Grandchildren: Adam McCord, Dan McCord, and Kelsey McCord, Brother: Jimmy (Virginia Ann) Alexander of Bourbon County, KY, Several Nieces and Nephews.
