Martha Mae (Worley) Wheat, 88, of Shepardsville passed
away at 1:10am Thursday, May the 19th at Union Hospital.
She was married to William E. Wheat Sr. for 65 years,
who preceded her in death in 2006. She was born on May
4, 1923 in Shepardsville, IN. Her parents Norven and Rena
(Waugh) Worley also preceded her in death as well as
sisters Thelma Miles, Rose Richards, Betty Crist Newton,
Lena Teagarden, Alberta Worley and brothers Ed Worley,
Norven Worley, and Dan Worley.
She is survived by two sons; William E. Wheat Jr. and his
wife Cathy of Terre Haute and Richard Dale Wheat and
his wife Debbie of St. Mary of the Woods. Five grand-
children; Crystal Harris and her husband Bob of Rosedale,
Ryan Wheat and his wife Becky of West Terre Haute,
Lynette Stewart and her husband Greg of Terre Haute,
Bill Wheat III and his wife Terri of Brownsburg, and
Dan Wheat and his fiance Meghan Jones of Terre Haute.
She was also blessed with fifteen great-grandchildren,
Nathan, Austin, Eric, Cody, Morgan, Joey, Brandon,
Cameron, Gavin, Gwen, Sara, Jeremy, Colin, Chloe, and
Olivia.
