Mrs. Martha Mae Abraham Clark, one of God’s Angels has been called home on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Orangeburg SC after an extended illness. Mrs. Martha Mae Abraham Clark was the daughter of the late Jack and Alice Abraham.
She grew up and attended Lodge Hall School in Vance, SC. She was united in marriage to the late Abram Clark, and to this union four children were born, one of which preceded her in death, Abram Clark, Jr.
At an early age she joined Rock Hill A.M.E. Church where she served faithfully as a Deaconess and on the Senior Gospel Choir.
Mrs. Martha Mae Abraham Clark loved church and up until her illness would be found sitting up front in church with one of her many stylish hats on.
Along with her parents, husband, and son, Martha is also preceded in death by five sisters, Frances Goodwin, Susie Ann Davis, Rebecca Shaw, Mary Jane Asbury, and Elouise Williams; two brothers, William and Lucky Abraham; and two grandchildren, Sandra and Joe Jr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three daughters, Linda (Nathaniel) Goodwin, Oneatha Oliver and Betty (FitzRoy) Philip; six sisters, Alice Clark, Dorothy (Gregory) Mirabal, Lucille Boone, Kernis (George) Jamison, Helen Mannie and Mary Ann (John); one brother, Samuel (Bea) Abraham; two sister-in-laws, Lourine Abraham and Gussie Mae J. Clark; eight grandchildren, Curtis (Lettie) and Angela Brown, Sharon, Anthony, and Tajuana Oliver, FitzRoy, Christopher, and Gennaveia Philip; one step grandchild Nathaniel (Kenyaita), thirteen great grandchildren, Shannon, Sequioa, Shandreka, Curtis, Jasmine, Kennon, Andrew, Kevin, Tamaria, Christopher Jr., Trequel, Deametrius, and Deniya; twelve great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Special friends, hospice nurse, Angelina and home care provider, Emma Clark. Close family friends, Ricky Gilliard, Hubert Robinson, and Eva Keitt.
