Martha Lee Emshousen, 91, of Paris, MO, died March 29, 2017 at Monroe Manor in Paris. Martha was born May 7, 1925 in Alton, IL, to James and Nancy Mae (Long) Vaughn.
She was a homemaker, and was an active member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Moberly.
Martha married Fred William Emshousen, Sr. on November 20, 1941, and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2003. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter Beverly Connell, a brother James Vaughn, Jr and a sister-in-law, Patricia Vaughn.
Survivors include a son Fred Emshousen, Jr. and wife Nancy of Rotonda West, FL; a daughter Patricia Emshousen of Lafayette, IN; six granddaughters; Maureen Hodges, Sharon Hresko, Shirley Connell, Martha Connell, Katherine Hyde and Christine Wiese, eight great-grandchildren; Benjamin and Kassandra Hodges, Anthony, Theresa and Trevor Hresko, Arina Connell and Kiley and Carter Hyde, three sisters, Betty Vaughn and Agnes Ferguson both of Bethalto, IL, Sophia Covington of Springfield, MO; her stepmother Alta Vaughn of Bethalto; a son-in-law David Connell of Arvada, CO; other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions to the Glad Tidings First Assembly of God would be appreciated.
