Martha Jean Simone, 77, of Silver Ridge Park North section of Berkeley Twsp., NJ passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Warren, Arkansas, she was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and lived in Old Bridge, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twp. 10 years ago. Jean was formerly a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Roselle, NJ and Jamesburg, NJ. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Gerald G. Simone, a daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Matt Leverton of Ewing, NJ, a son and daughter-in-law Glen and Marie Simone of Delran, NJ, a grandson Ryan Leverton, 2 sister-in-laws Jeannie Burgess and Judy Simone, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She is pre-deceased by her parents Robert L. and Lillie M. Davidson and 6 older sisters Charlotte Parham, Maxine Smith, Edith Mills, Juanita Farris, Carrie Murphy, and Robbie Hall. She greatly enjoyed the beach, boating on the “Lady Jean”, her 4 “grand-dogs”, participating in breast cancer walks, taking photos, trips to Atlantic City, and taking cruises. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all.
