Martha Jean Dole was born on September 24, 1925 and died peacefully at her home in Fellows on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the age of 84. Martha was well known in the oilfield community. She operated a small lease out by Fellows for over 30 years. She retired at the age of 82. Martha is survived by her five children, Cecelia Shinkle and her husband, Stan, of Haysville, KS, Robert Corby and his wife, Rita, of Wichita, KS, Pam Tapia and her husband, Joe, of Phoenix, AZ, Rick Dole and his wife, Paulette, of Everett, WA and Vicky Burell and her husband, Bob, of Derby Acres, CA; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her sister, Doris in Seattle, WA; step-sister, Fran, in Paradise, CA; step-brother, Bill, of Sun City, CA; many nieces and nephews and, or course, her many friends. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Rusty and Tammy for the loving care they gave to Martha in her final weeks. Martha will be missed by all who knew her; she was feisty right to the end.
