Martha J. (Harrold) Meyer, age 79, of Jonesboro, IN, died Monday, May 21, 2012, ather Residence after declining health for several years. She was the daughter of the late Glenn Albert Harrold and the late Blanche (Jones) Harrold.
She was born in Marion, Indiana on October 31, 1932.She graduated from Fairmount High School in 1951. She married her husband of nearly 60 years, Francis Marion “Mike” Meyer on June 8, 1952 by Rev. Xen Harvey at the Fairmount Friends Church. Mike survives in Jonesboro. Martha retired from St. Regis Paper Company after 20 years as a machine operator.
A member of the Fairmount Friends Church, Dana Campers Club and a 50 year member or the Fairmount Eastern Star, Martha will be fondly remembered for fighting the goodfight, love forher family and friends,and her wonderful sense of humor.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, antiquing, and collecting tea pots. She is also survived by her Daughter: Teresa (Ron) Hiatt, Elwood, IN Son:Ron (Jackie) Meyer, Fairmount, IN Sister: Alice Wade, Jonesboro, IN Brother: Kenneth (Bonnie) Harrold, Fairmount, IN 5 Grandchildren; Britany (Rex) Browning, Tipton, IN Brock (Alissa) Meyer, Fairmount, IN Kimberly (Jack) Jones, Elwood, IN Kelly (Carl) Caldwell, Elwood, IN Karie (Jeff) Solms, Elwood, IN 10 Great-Grandchildren; Olivia, Ellie, Alyssa, Isabella Browning Judah Meyer A.J. & Kahne, Jones Ayla Caldwell Lillie & Lila Solms. Martha was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Hubert, Herbert, and Wayne Harrold and a sister Ruth Painter.
