Martha H. Brim, 68, a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away suddenly on May 13, 2016, in Tallahassee.
The daughter of Joe and Maybelle Hollingsworth, she was on born August 18, 1947, in Sanford, Florida. She was raised in Tallahassee, Florida, and graduated from Leon High School in 1965. She married John Brim and they lived in several locations throughout the United States before they settled down in Crawfordville, Florida in 1981 to raise their sons and be close to family. She studied to become a paralegal and worked for the State of Florida where she endeavored to ensure children received the child support they deserved, before retiring in 2005.
She was a Majority Member of Tallahassee #64 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and a 50-year Member of Tallahassee #119 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, William (Tracy) Brim and Jason Brim; grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Justin, and Jayda Brim, multiple nieces and nephews, and many other extended family members. She is preceded in death by her husband John Brim and her parents Joe and Maybelle Hollingsworth.
