Ms. Martha Cummings Gunn of Brandon, Florida passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020.
Ms. Martha Cummings Gunn, was born in Monticello, Florida and was a resident of Tampa for over 60 years. She was educated in the public schools of Monticello and was a graduate of Howard Academy. Her hard-work and dedication to her children was the perfect expression of a “Mother’s Love”. She experienced many life’s challenges, however she never stopped loving her children.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lloyd Cummings and Lucille Tillman Cummings-Armstrong; husband, Willie Gunn; sisters, Lucille Hicks and Shirley Fleming; brother, Carlton Armstrong; granddaughter, Trutisha Johnson and grandson, Ricky Lee.
She leaves to cherish her memory: nine devoted children, Arthur Randall (Linda), Martha Lee (Joseph), Trudy Allen (Dana), Sharon Kilpatrick (Shannon), Annette Larry (John), Nathaniel Johnson, Regina Champion (Chris), Marie Arterberry (Ernest), and Truby Johnson (Jennifer); brother, Carsell Armstrong; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; special niece, Linda Jordan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
