Martha Gauldin Kidd, 67, of Axton, VA, died on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC. Born on April 18, 1945 in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Allie Compton Gauldin and Witcher Neal Gauldin. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Gauldin, Myrtle Wilson and Capatola Kazor; brothers, Witcher Gauldin, Emmett Gauldin, Neal Gauldin and Beverly ‘Bud’ Gauldin; half-sister, Viola Clark and half-brothers, Garner Gauldin, Douglas Gauldin and Mitchell Gauldin. Mrs. Kidd was retired from Sara Lee Knitting Company. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Surviving are her husband of forty-six years, William Wesley Kidd of the home and a sister, Abbie Carter of Axton.
