Martha Fromm, 98, of Toms River, New Jersey, went to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 8th 2016 at her home. Martha was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Lavallette, New Jersey, where she enjoyed the beach and swimming.
She was known for bringing all of the kids, family and friends, to the ocean and was like a mother hen with all of her chicks following. Martha would have turned 99 years old this December and still had all of her marbles and then some. She loved the movie, The Sound of Music, and listened to the theme song each night before falling asleep. She and her family members said prayers every night and included a Latvian prayer called “Sald Manzings” which translates to “May angels surround you sleep sweetly”. Martha will be missed very much by her loving family. However, her family knows when she closed her eyes to this world, she opened them up to see Jesus.
Martha is predeceased by her parents, Peter and Bertha Eagle; her husband, Raymond Fromm; her siblings, Lonnie Eagle, Albert Eagle, Mildred Lamb, and Edwin Eagle; and granddaughter, Desere’ LaCrosse. Surviving are her children, Jay Fromm of Beachwood, New Jersey, Beverly LaCrosse of Beachwood, New Jersey, and Arlene Lindig of Toms River, New Jersey; her grandchildren, Jay, Jerry, Steven, Tracey, Michelle, and Charissa; her eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
