Martha Frances Moore Williams died peacefully at a local hospital on Monday, April 6, 2009 at the age of 93. She was born on April 5, 1916, in Cleveland, Tennessee to parents Hal Browder Moore and Margaret Hardwick Moore of that city. She was a graduate of the Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga and Randolph Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg VA where she was a member of the Chi Omega fraternity. After college she met and married Joseph Vincent Williams Jr., local businessman and attorney.
