Martha Garrison, also known as Bunk and Aunt Bunk to family and friends, was born April 11, 1926 in Montgomery County, Maryland to the late Daniel and Mattie Gaither. Martha was the third oldest of eleven children. Martha departed this life on December 13, 2014. She resided with one of her devoted nieces, Gloria Murray and her family in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Martha was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church for many years. Martha was employed and retired from Montgomery County Public School after 35 years of dedicated service. The most enjoyable part of Martha’s life was her family and friends.
Martha was married to the late Roger Garrison. She leaves to mourn her death, one sister Audrey Lyles and one sister-in-law, Alicia Gaither and one step-son, Charlie Sewell. Martha leaves to cherish her life and love a host of devoted nieces and nephews as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
