Martha E. “Marty” Freeman, 79, of Anderson, passed away on October 28, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson. She was born on November 10, 1938 in Kokomo, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Marty graduated from Anderson High School in 1957. She worked for Fisher Guide in Marion, and retired after several years of service. She was a member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ.
Marty had a passion to help people with anything they needed. She also loved to spend time with her family and root for her favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals.
Marty is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, JT Freeman; son, Jeff Freeman of Anderson; grandchildren, Chris (Laura) Harris, Lindsey Harris, and Chase (fiance’ Tricia Garza) Freeman; and great-grandchildren, Easton Freeman and Addyson Alsup.
Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Sally Freeman, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jake and Josephine Silcox; beloved daughter, Debra Lynn Harris; and brothers, Earl “Buck” Silcox, John Thomas McClintick, and Gene McClintick.
Marty’s family would like to extend their gratitude to their fire department family.
