Martha E. Mann, age 90, formerly of Fairmount died Monday, November 14, 2011 at Golden Living Health Care in Muncie, IN. Martha was employed by General Motors for 10 years in production.
She was a member of Fairmount Friends Church, a 50 year member of Fairmount American Legion Auxilary, 8 40, and the CPC Sympathy Club. She volunteered many hours at the VA Medical Center. Martha and her husband Chester built and managed Mann Apartments in Fairmount where Martha took great pleasure in mowing the lawn.
She enjoyed her family and friends, traveling, sewing, gardening, and fishing. She was the daughter of the late Frank Atkinson and the late Hazel (Nelson) Atkinson. She was born in Upland, Indiana on June 25, 1921. She graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1939. She married Chester Mann. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1981.
She is survived by; One Son: Doug (Juanita) Mann, Hartford City, IN One Daughter: Sharon Maddox, New Castle, IN One Sister: Margie Allen, Noblesville, IN Three Grand Children: Rick (Susan) Mann, Russell Springs, Ky Reece (Stacy) Mann, Hartford City, IN Skye Maddox, New Castle, IN 6 Great-Grand Children; Barton, Brooklyn, Braxton, Blake, Ozzie, Zoie Mann She was preceded in death by a brother Herb Atkinson and 2 sisters; Mary Blake and Mable Bunch.
