Martha Lesch, age 97, died at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Laurels of Massillon. She was born on May 12, 1920 in Salem, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Mathias and Maria (Hutter) Ramsauer. She resided in Salem, Ohio until 2011.

She attended Coffee (Winona) School and graduated from Salem Senior High School in 1938. Martha was a life-long member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and a member of the Salem Order of Eastern Stars, and a 60+-year member of the Saxon Club #18, the Gold Star Auxillary V.F.W. Post #892, and the Salem Area Retired Workers. She retired in 1989 after working at DeRienzo’s for 16 years.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Edward H. Lesch, whom she married July 3, 1941 and died July 30, 1995; her daughter, Linda Goetz; and two sisters, Katherine Gudat and Mary (John) Huber.

Survivors include her two daughters, Dianne Darner of Green; Debbie (Rod) Geho of Lisbon, son-in-law, Frank Goetz of Salem; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren. Also including several nieces, nephews and friends.
