Martha E. Prigg Jones, 94, Anderson, passed away April 18, 2011, at St. Johns Health System, Anderson.
She was born on January 15, 1917, in Madison County, Indiana, and resided in Madison County all of her life. Martha was a 1935 graduate of Markleville High School. She was a homemaker and retired as the bookkeeper for the family business, Jones Hi-Fi Sound Supply after 45 years of service. She was a 50-year member of the Markleville Order of Eastern Star Chapter #363.
She is survived by her son, John Michael Jones of Anderson; daughter, Linda K. Jones of New Castle; two grandchildren, Laura Richardson Ron and Brian Brown; four great-grandchildren, Hollyann Hampton, Alex Brown, Matthew Hampton, and Amanda Hampton, all of Orlando, Florida; several nieces and nephews, including a niece, Teresa Collett of Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Letha F. Keesling Prigg; husband, John S. Jones, Jr., whom she married December 17, 1938; daughter, Helen Brown, and sister, Anna Mae Collett.
