Martha was born in Huntsville on March 2, 1938, to Leffle and Ida Green. She was a 1956 graduate of Butler High School. Martha was a civil servant on Redstone Arsenal for many years. After retirement she, her husband, and son (Jon) founded T.E. Dodson Home Builders. After retiring from home building, she enjoyed travel and spending time with her friends and family. She was also a life-long member of Jackson Way Baptist Church.
Martha was a person like no other. She was a friend to all she met. She was always ready to lend a hand to those who needed help, or an ear to those who needed someone to listen. She was genuine in every way. She opened her home and heart to everyone.
Martha is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas E. Dodson; three children Pamela Petrick (Brian) of Atlanta, Ga., Jon Dodson (Becky) and Joe Dodson (Tammie) both of Huntsville; three grandchildren, Andrew Dodson, Jessica Dodson, and Emily Dodson; and two step-grandchildren, Jackson Litz and Harry Litz; one sister, Carolyn Sharp (Donald); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert L. “Bobby” Green.
