Martha E. Cleary, age 72 of Dalton passed away on Monday morning, July 22, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Stancill and Lois Dean Stancill. She was married to her husband, James William (Bill) Cleary for 55 years. Martha attended and was a member of McFarland Hill Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Martha had a passion for sharing the love of Christ and lending a helping hand to those in need. Survivors include her husband, Bill Cleary of the residence; her mother, Lois Dean Stancill; sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott and Diane Cleary of Dalton, Pernell Cleary of Dalton and Steven Cleary of Dalton; a daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Phil Padgett of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Stancill, Glenn (Cat) and Nancy Stancill, Cofford and Barbara Stancill and Colbert (Mink) Stancill; grandchildren, Zach Cleary, Leslie Padgett, Avery Padgett, Chad Padgett, Cody Cleary, Corbin Cleary ,Hunter Cleary, Shelby Mhoon, Matthew Cleary, Brett Cleary, Carson Cleary and R.J. Storey; a great-grandchild, Gavin Landers. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Stancill; brothers, Barney Nelson Stancill and Bob Stancill.
