Martha Chrisman, 98, of Moberly, passed away, November 27, 2021 at her home with family by her side.
She was born April 17, 1923, in Macon County, to Charles and Loretta (Mears) Flowers.
She married Estil L. Chrisman in 1943, he preceded her in death September 27,1997; also preceding her death were her parents and a brother Chalmer Flowers.
Martha served in many positions as an active member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church. She graduated from Moberly Public School and Jr. College. Martha first taught at Brown School #84 in Macon County and later was an aide at South Park Elementary and Moberly High School Library. She enjoyed working jig-saw puzzles, playing “Skip-Bo”, and “Hand and Foot.” She was a talented seamstress and did embroidery and crochet.
She is survived by her two daughters; Joyce Chrisman and Sandye Goodger and her husband Alvin all of Moberly, two grandchildren; Erica (Kevin) Lowther of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Patrick (Whitnie) Goodger of Moberly, three great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild, a sister in law, Jackie Chrisman of Nebraska, nieces and nephews.
