Martha Connally Payne, 94, of Harrison went home to be with her Lord on September 18, 2012. A native of Chattanooga, she was born to Robert Lee and Bertha McClure Connally on November 8, 1917. She grew up in North Chattanooga and spent 37 years of her married life in East Ridge before moving to Harrison. She graduated from Central High School in 1935; she raised a family until her youngest child went off to college after which she worked in the Design Studio and sales of Fowler Brothers and Total Concept.
