Mrs. Martha Brenda Hamby, 67, of Gulf Shores, AL, formerly of Valley, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Bethany House in Auburn, AL.
Mrs. Hamby is survived by her three children, Carlton David (Angie) Brown of Sevierville, TN, Kerri Brown (Chris) Patterson of Valley, and Robin (Tony) Bozeman of Valley; her mother, Martha L. Billingsley; seven grandchildren, Daelin Brown, Kayla Morris, Kelsey Morris, Hannah Bozeman, Cale Bozeman, Alexis Bozeman, and Alan Bozeman; a great grandchild, Brysen Bozeman; a great grandchild on the way, Jase Brown; six siblings, Richard Billingsley, Steve Billingsley, Susan Howard, Deborah Rookstool, Becky Shemwell, and Bill Billingsley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Hamby; and her father, Alvin O. Billingsley.
Mrs. Hamby was born on March 10, 1947 in West Point, GA. She was a member of Shady Grove Christian Church. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. For years she ran the Mammography Clinic at Lanier Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, and singing.
