Martha Betty June Huffman Thorn, 88, of Birdscreek Road, Howesville passed away Thursday, September 03, 2015, at Windy Hill Village Assisted Living with family by her side. She was born in Marquess on May 16, 1927, daughter of the late Waitman W. and Betty Evelyn Helsley Huffman. Martha attended Fellowsville High School. She was a homemaker, loved growing her beautiful roses in her garden, doing crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. Martha was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and spent her whole life for her family. She is survived by four sons, Charles Stanley Thorn and wife Alice, Morgantown, David Waitman Thorn and wife Connie, Finleyville, PA, Terry Lee Thorn and wife Kimberly, Howesville, Steven Ray Thorn and fiancée, Therese Dennihan, Gladesville; seven grandchildren, Cher Ann Lindquist and Edward, Ryan Charles Thorn, Jared W Thorn, David B Thorn and Elaine, Justin L Thorn and Lauren, Heather Thorn and Scott T Thorn; six step grandchildren, Pamela McDonald, Jennifer Voss, Loreen Beabout, Amber Hadley and Nick, Amanda White and Dolph, Jessica Hankins and fiancée, Aden Loyer ; two great grandson, Davis Thorn and Elias Butler, one great granddaughter, Bethany Thorn, eighteen step great grandchildren, Christopher McDonald, Michael McDonald, Melissa Butler, Joseph Loya, William T Voss, Jessica Voss, Chelsea Beabout, Aaron Beabout , Lucas Beabout, River Miller, Dakota Hankins, Mia Hadley, and Nicholas Hadley, Annemarie Hadley, Joshua Hadley, Elizabeth White, Cory White and Kierstan White; two step great great grandchildren, Hunter McDonald and Rilei McDonald; one lovely sister, Nola “Susie” Harvey, Kingwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Thorn in 2011, two sisters, Mabel and Melba, one brother, Franklin Huffman.
