Marshall T. Young was born to the late Earnest and Hettie Fuller Young on June 16, 1933 in Lawrence County, Alabama. He was tired so God called him home on Sunday, October 14, 2012 to rest.
He attended old Moulton School. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Freeman Tabernacle Baptist Church. Later Marshall united with Oakville Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully and was a Deacon.
Marshall worked for many years in construction. He also was a retiree of Decatur Utilities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Hazette Young, Florence Young and Ima Sue Echols and one brother, Lymos Bobby Young.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a wife, Thelma Irene Young (whom he faithfully cared for until he was no longer able to do so); one daughter, Belinda Kay Young, one son, Ricky Young (Betty) all of Moulton; four sisters, Minnie Gholston of Trinity, Annie Fae Gossett of South Carolina, Louise Jones of Moulton and Samella Young of Aliquippa, PA; one brother Earnest T. Young (Carlean) of Moulton; one sister-in-law, Nadine Young of Moulton, a faithful brother-in-law, Richard Alexzander (Rosa) of Moulton, a host of relatives and friends.
