Marshall Stephen Bunnell, Sr., 50, of Sardis, WV (Catfish Hollow) departed this life to join his parents, Earl and Ann Bunnell, on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born on July 30, 1960. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Kristy Lee Gump. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years, Sandra Hadox Bunnell of Sardis, his brother William Bunnell and wife Pam of Nutter Fort, his three sons, Marshall Bunnell, Jr., David Bunnell, and Aaron Bunnell all of Sardis, three daughters; Tessa Gump and husband Jason, Shandel Bunnell, and Chelsie Bunnell also of Sardis; six grandchildren (the lights of his life); Jessika Gump, Taylah Gump, Isabella Miller, Kobe Bunnell, William Higinbotham and Hayden Quinn; life-long best friends/brothers Walt Foster and Ivan Wamsley, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends as well as his dog Dakota Bunnell. He was a member of the Eagles, was a self employed mechanic and loved to build racecars and watch his kids race them. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed.
