Marshall J. Kochiss, age 92 longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to the late Wanda Jacek Kochiss, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 9, 2015.  Born in Bridgeport on December 15, 1922 he was the son of the late Marcel B. and Mary Degnan Kochiss.  Marshall served during the CB-I Theater of Operations with pride and honor in the US Air Force in WWII, where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Metal of the Oak Cluster.  Retiring as a Sergeant in the detective bureau of the city of Milford, Marshall was also director of the youth bureau and, in retirement, he volunteered as a Mentor with Bridges of Milford, for which he was chosen CT. Mentor of the Year in 2000, forging many lasting friendships.  A member of the Police Benevolent Assoc. and the Knights of Columbus, he participated in the men’s league bowling team with St.

He is survived by his cherished and loving daughter Marsha V. Kochiss of Milford, his brother Robert J. Kochiss of Westport, his brothers-in-law, John and Ed and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Wanda of 62 years, Marshall was predeceased by his son Mark J. Kochiss, and his two sisters, Anne Micka and Rita Sterback.
