Marshall C. Raab, age 91, of Red Oak, IL passed away February 12, 2017 at home. He was born January 30, 1926 to the late William and Marjorie (Eaton) Raab. Marshall attended Stockton High School and graduated from Pearl City High School in 1944. He married Helen Gothard on February 23, 1947 in Mt. Carroll, IL.
Marshall was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of God. After graduation he worked as a hired man on several farms in the area. After retiring from farming he went into remodeling houses for over 20 years. He also started spending winters in warmer climates. Marshall enjoyed fishing, bowling and hunting ginseng and morels.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Raab of Red Oak, IL; four sons, Theodore (Carol) Raab of Machesney Park, IL, John (Josie) Raab of Freeport, IL, Calvin (Beverly) Raab of Green Bay, WI, and Randall (Tonya) Raab of Lena, IL; his daughter, Marsha (Gary) Larson of Stockton, IL; brother, Millard (Linda) Raab of Haughton, LA; three sisters, Mary Lou Bowers of Lena, IL, Mona (Charles) Ballas of Freeport, IL, and Marie Bawden of Stockton, IL; 16 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marjorie; ten brothers and sisters; and one grandson.
